If there were Geiger counters to measure B*S* in political campaigns, the news media would make a run on the market. Caught in the daily vice of campaign over-exposure and hype, the news media as we know it must react to every candidate briefing, news conference, and debate to instantly fact check the statements.  Generally, those accuracy reports follow in days, sometimes weeks behind the actual event where a candidate speaks.  Such was the case in the last week when Donald Trump staged a news conference to rebut negative statements made a couple of weeks earlier by Mitt Romney▶ #LISTORY

On the NPR story site: I have posted the following comment: "WOW! I pray the mainstream media will make this a high priority topic for the coming weeks and months. Trump is an actual friend of Hillary and Bill Clinton (right?), so he just possibly is cut from the same cloth. Remember HRC's trustworthy ratings are in the tank and now, DT's are heading that direction."
