The stretch of US territory that extends essentially from central Oklahoma to the coastal shores of the Carolinas (aka the "northern tier" of Southern USA) is sometimes called the American Bible Belt, the home of millions of evangelicals who are not a singular, but a primary focus of the 2016 Campaign for US President.
