Trust the book (film2) on Benghazi

Image
(CORONA - insync withMyGovWatch) Much of the world and most of the news media were consumed wholly with the unholy Benghazi Congressional hearing Oct. 22.  In fact, as we know, the story is not over and neither are the accounts, books, films, and other 'social current see' on topic, as is partially archived below.

A minute with one who scoops '60 Minutes,' other journalists

Image
(CORONA - insync withMyGovWatch) As Baby Boomers, we know there have always been investigative journalists, but not all professionals who claim such are created equal.  In fact, due to conflicting corporate cultures, even some of the most established journalistic watchdogs don't always have complete freedom to cover and report the truth.  One of those is now having her story told in the following clips, links, content, and 'social current see' archive.

What really makes a difference?

Image
(CORONA - insync withMyGovWatch) As the much-anticipated testimony of Hillary Clinton before the Congressional investigation committee for the Benghazi incident approaches, presidential candidate Hillary moves forward with her heady campaign to win the Democratic nomination, seeming to ignore much of the chatter that follows:

Congress: Inside a Bul'worth Domain

Image
(CORONA - insync withMyGovWatch) By now, most Americans are well familiar with the U.S. Capitol dome (inset) under scaffolding for refurbishing.  This shot of the Architect of the Capitol standing in front of the dome and behind a podium may prompt many to ask:  Who is redesigning what goes on inside the building?

Would-be POTUS Viral Library

Image
(CORONA) No American president, much less candidate for the office, in the last half century has ascended to the White House without a published book or two.  However, what is different these days is the presence of social media to promote these writings and the banter about the candidates.  Success on this front seems only possible for the clever and the creative, those who earn the label "viral."

Disaster preparedness in focus for Calif. cities and 'altacities' (HOAs)

Image
(CALIFORNIA) As the largest state in the US with nearly 40 million people, one might think that disaster preparedness is top-of-mind for these 58 counties and 482 municipalities, plus 43,000 HOAs. Scan the following clips, links, clips, and 'social current see' to confirm that, indeed, the topic is of great interest, and sometimes action.

Foundation woes for Clinton, Fiorina

Image
(CORONA) Our little (1317 residents) common interest development (aka HOA) is a long way from Washington, D.C. and the center of American politics.  That lack of proximity makes no difference in how or when we following the news, stories, and social current see of the current election, on both sides of the aisle.

The following accounts are notable for me and many of my lifelong colleagues who worked in the nonprofit philanthropic sector because, well, you can read the story for yourself.

Cancer on the Clinton candidacy

Image
(CORONA) Next to the buzz about the GOP candidacy of business mogul Donald Trump, no topic of this political season gets more press than the email scandal for Hillary Clinton.  Now under FBI investigation for her creation and handling of a private email server in her private residence, Clinton is both candid and evasive about the issue that might derail her campaign well in advance of the U.S. primary elections for 2016.
