Viet vets honored at Nixon Library

In what may be the last event of its type, nearly 200 Vietnam prisoners of war, and their families, gathered at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library Thursday for what was labeled to be their largest reunion in years. The Boomer-genration POWs traveled to the event aboard a motorcade of buses from Newport Beach to the steps of the Nixon Library for a public ceremony. Honorees and their hosts at the Yorba Linda, CA, library marked 40 years since President and Mrs. Nixon hosted these American heroes for the largest dinner event ever held at the White House on May 24, 1973. }:{
